We have jointed LinkedIn with an executive account, however, we’re having major problems finding out answers to what we’re looking for in a social media outlet. Originally, we believed we would just be able to send out inmails, then we found you get only 35 a month, then we figured we would just hit connect and whoever connected we would send them information on our product – then we found you only get 3000 invites EVER and 30000 connections EVER…so now I have a question, on the home page there are over 3 million professionals in my “network”, when you click on that it comes up as an EMAIL…is there a limit on how many emails you can send out of that 3 million? Are we able to send the information on our company through that email? Will that go into someone’s personal email or their linkedin account? will it go straight to spam on their end? is there a way to find out the information I am looking for???? There is no way to contact a linkedin rep and its very frustrating…thank you.
Karen
First I don’t know what an “executive” account is. I assume you have a personal account in your name because you cannot have a personal account with a business name. You are correct you only get 3000 invites so they should be used strategically. Sounds to me like you are trying to use LinkedIn as only an email list – this is NOT what LinkedIn in for in fact that would be considered Spam. LinkedIn is about building relationships and I teach people to do this vi a social selling model. By the way the 3 million number on your account is your extended network. I would encourage you to re-think you social policy about how to use LinkedIn, it is very effective in connecting with business professionals. I would encourage your company to create a company page and then educate people via your content and do not make every post about selling them your services, this simply is not a tactic that works anymore.
